Part-time Front of House Assistant

Rate of Pay: £12.00 per hour
(Above Adventure provides workers with a minimum hourly rate of £12.00 per hour under the Living wage initiative. Terms and conditions apply)
Hours: 16 hours per week

Role Summary:
Delivering excellent customer service to customers and employees whilst working with diverse and dynamic team within a fast-paced environment

Job Purpose:                    

  • Present a friendly, helpful and welcoming environment to all customers
  • Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary
  • Maintain excellent communications with customers, either face to face, by telephone or in writing
  • Accurately process and record all income received from customers
  • To undertake reception duties including admissions, membership sales, bookings and general enquiries.

You Must:

  • Be computer literate
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Be available to work evenings and weekends

 

 

Climbing Instructor

** you must be qualified as a CWI as a minimum to apply for this role **

Rate of Pay: From £12.00 per hour dependent on experience / qualifications

Hours: TBC

Responsibilities:

  • Working in reception greeting and assisting customers and operating the book-in system and till
  • Ensuring customers always have a welcoming and enjoyable experience
  • Delivering high quality customer service to all customers, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Instructing a variety of planned activities and instructed sessions
  • General housekeeping tasks
  • Floor walking in climbing areas and assisting new users with inductions
  • Performing additional duty manager tasks as required
  • Other tasks as determined by your line manager as and when required
  • Essential skills/experience:
  • Relevant climbing instructor qualifications such as CWI or RCI as a minimum plus 2 years experience in an indoor climbing centre
  • RSA1 or route setting experience
  • Experienced, enthusiastic climber with varied instructing experience and a desire to share this with others
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Enjoy working with people of all ages
  • Be prepared to work weekends and evenings

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Current first aid certificate
  • Coaching qualifications
  • Route setting experience
  • Experience of working with children and adults with disabilities andspecial needs
  • B+E or D1+E driving license
